Discover What's Holding You Back On The Bike

Body hurt, Yes? Well you’ve come to the right place. No? Great, keep reading.

Even those born yesterday will tell you that stretching is good for your body, yet probably cannot explain why. Well let’s get one thing straight, stretching isn’t just “good” for your body, it’s essential. So if you're a cyclist, here is a free resource containing all your stretching needs.

Okay, But Is Mobility Really That Important?

1.  Range

First and foremost, healthy joints are ones that can move across a greater range of motion (and quickly). Immobile joints and muscles are the ones that tear, break and even deteriorate over time.

2. Resistance

Now don’t get us started on the different ways muscles work, but really and truly, muscles only do one thing - contract! Muscle fibres rapidly collapse and naturally tighten up, aka, cramping. Stretching builds resistance to cramps!

3. Recovery

Think of the way one destroys the integrity of fabric when you tumble dry many times over the years... would you want to do that to your muscles? Of course not! Reset your muscles to the lengthened, relaxed form to ensure adequate recovery after a ride.

It's not as scary as it sounds.

The unfortunate truth is that spending too much time on the bike has its negative effects on the body, combined with countless hours we spend sitting down staring at screens, it is no surprise that our muscles are misshapen and joints are weak.

That being said, the good news is that humans are AMAZING and we can train our bodies to overcome the long-term risks associated with repeated stress on various muscles, and yup, you guessed it, stretching is the key!

No time to educate yourself about the nuances of muscular health? Cannot afford to pay for close professional support? No worries - that makes just about every one of us!

Here's all you need, in one PDF.
